Here’s a chance to hear an evening of great and wonderfully-diverse music and support the work of the Jazz Consortium, as owner Ricardo González has graciously agreed to once again host an MLK Weekend fundraiser for the Consortium at The Cardinal. The line-up includes some intriguing combinations of performers that you won’t want to miss: Hanah Jon Taylor performing with pianist Dave Stoler and improvising spoken word artist Rob Dz, Johannes Wallmann performing with Darren Sterud’s New Orleans Tribute band, and Gerri DiMaggio’s trio having recently expanded to a quartet with the addition of hubby Bob Pesselman on guitar. $10 suggested donation at the door, with proceeds split between the Consortium and the performers, and the Consortium’s share supporting the 2017 Strollin’ and InDIGenous Jazz concert series. 6:00 PM doors open, with music starting at 6:30 PM and running ‘til 11:00 PM.
