Veterans Appreciation Dance with Ladies Must Swing

VETERANS APPRECIATION DANCE WITH LADIES MUST SWING. Now in its third decade of life, our community’s all-female big band, Ladies Must Swing, has had a special relationship with local veterans of military service.  Extending a tradition that includes performances for veterans returning from Badger Honor Flight visits to memorial sites in Washington DC, the band will perform music from the World War II era at a Veterans Appreciation Dance on Pearl Harbor Day 2020.  In addition, John Curran (from Madison Area Ballroom) will give dance lessons before the band begins its performance.  This is an all-ages show honoring vets from any era.  There’ll be a cash bar and cake, too.  6:00pm dance lessons, 7:00pm concert and dance.  VFW Post 1318, 133 East Lakeside Street on Madison’s near south side.  $10.00 suggested donation.
