THE MIDIRI BROTHERS JAZZ SEXTET. Wrapping up 39 years of concert production, this is the third of the final four concerts presented by the Madison Jazz Society as it transitions into a jazz education nonprofit. Led by twin brothers Joe and Paul, The Midiri Brothers Jazz Sextet has have delighted swing dancers and been acclaimed by critics at jazz festivals throughout the country and have recorded with groups ranging from trios to big bands – featuring the arrangements of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and the Dorsey Brothers – as well as Paul’s original arrangements and compositions. Members include Joe Midiri, reeds; Paul Midiri, vibes; Jeff Phillips, piano; Jim Lawlor, drums; Pat Mercuri, guitar & Jack Hegyi, bass. The East Side Club, 3735 Monona Drive. 1pm.
