2/24: LET MY CHILDREN HEAR MINGUS (TV).  As we approach the end of his centennial year, this PBS special explores the complexity and outsized personality of the iconic jazz bassist, composer and bandleader Charles Mingus.  The program includes performances by the Mingus Big Band and pianist Jason Moran as well as interview clips with Mr. Moran, Christian McBride, James Newton,  Charles McPherson, Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah (formerly known as Christian Scott), and daughter Keki Mingus, among others.  Wisconsin Public TV’s WIS Channel, 9:00 pm.
