3/26: TELEVISION:  “AMERICAN MASTERS: MILES DAVIS BIRTH OF THE COOL”.  This documentary is award-winning filmmaker Stanley Nelson’s deep dive into the world of Miles Davis, taking a hard look at the mythology that surrounds the legend. With full access to the Miles Davis Estate, the film features lots of rare photos and video footage, including studio outtakes from his recording sessions and new interviews with Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter, Quincy Jones, Carlos Santana, Marcus Miller, and others.  PBS-Wisconsin, 11:00pm.
