This film, by celebrated documentarian Stanley Nelson Jr., examines Miles Davis’ musical development and triumphs as well as aspects of his complicated personal life. It includes previously unseen performance clips as well as interviews with fellow musicians, collaborators, scholars, friends, and family members.
