The Jazz Consortium’s wildly popular “jazz crawl” series returns for a second year, starting as last year at the Schenk’s Corners commercial district (at the intersection of Atwood Avenue and Winnebago Street on Madison’s Near East Side). Showcasing local musicians and paying them respectful fees, fans will be able to stroll among five nearby venues to enjoy a stylistically diverse array of musicians all in one evening, from late afternoon until the early morning hours, with no cover charges. This year’s participating venues will include Alchemy, Chocolaterian, One Barrel Brewing, Thorps, and the front steps of our event’s lead sponsor, Monona State Bank.
