10/7-8: STROLLIN’ MIDDLETON JAZZ FESTIVAL & GRAND OPENING OF THE STONE HORSE GREEN. This annual live music festival has been expanded into a 2-day celebration to mark the unveiling of an exciting new community gathering space in the heart of downtown Middleton. All of the activities are free and open to the public. The celebration will kick off with the annual Friday night Strollin’ neighborhood jazz crawl throughout downtown Middleton. Ten local bands will perform across five venues, showcasing the diversity of jazz styles performed by our local musicians – from traditional jazz to avant-garde, and Hammond organ trio to “Hot Hawaiian guitar meets Jazz à la Django.” Strollin’ will conclude with the Stone Horse Green ribbon cutting ceremony with performances by this year’s headliners, renowned Chicago vocalist Dee Alexander and guitarist John McLean and their quartet.
