12/1: RUSS JOHNSON QUARTET. The quartet will be premiering a collection of new compositions. The quartet will include Chicago’s Russ Johnson (trumpet), Jon Irabagon (saxophone), Clark Summers (bass), and Dana Hall (drums). A frequent visitor to Madison, Johnson previously spent 23 years as an important member of New York City’s jazz community and has seven recordings as a leader to his credit.
