RUSS JOHNSON AND LD LEVY.  UW-Parkside Jazz Studies Director and trumpeter Russ Johnson is now a major voice on the Midwest jazz scene after spending 23 years as an important member of New York City jazz community.  Holland’s L.D. Levy is a multi-instrumentalist including flute, bass clarinet and alto saxophone, who was a protege of Paul Bley and whose first recording was a duet with legendary Madison bassist Richard Davis.  The opening set will feature Wayfaring, a duo project between bassist/vocalist Katie Ernst and clarinetist James Falzone.  Presented by Blue Stem Jazz.  Audio for the Arts, 7 S.
