Rempis-Johnson-Heinemann-Cunningham Quartet

This new formation organized by journeyman saxophonist Dave Rempis represents a cross-section of the thriving jazz and improvised music scene based out of Chicago, whose tentacles reach out regionally to Milwaukee (trumpeter Russ Johnson and drummer Jeremy Cunningham ) and Madison (bassist Jakob Heinemann) as well.  Starting in 2021 the musicians have refined their sound and chemistry into a thoughtful, deliberate, and unique quartet sound.
