Workshop & Exhibition with Trumpeter Enrique Rodriguez & Percussionist Rodrigo Diaz

This workshop is part of the “Madison-Madrid Musical Exchange,” a week-long Madison residency by two of the brightest stars on the jazz scene in Madrid, Spain: trumpeter Enrique “Enriquito” Rodriguez and percussionist Rodrigo “El Niño” Diaz.  Produced by local Latin Jazz percussionist-vocalist Juan Tomás “Juancho” Martínez, and supported by a grant from the Greater Madison Jazz Consortium, this is one of multiple public workshops in a residency that includes a concert and new recording with Madison’s terrific Latin Jazz ensemble, Acoplados.  Juancho reports that the workshop will likely include some live music performances with additional guest artists.  Musicians and listeners are equally welcome.
