Paul Dietrich 5+4

PAUL DIETRICH 5+4.  Paul Dietrich’s 5+4 will celebrate their recently-released eponymous album.  The band, which combines the instrumentation of a traditional jazz quintet (trumpet, saxophone, piano, bass and drums) with a classical string quartet, is a place where Dietrich’s large-form ensemble writing is combined with small group performance sensibilities. In addition to Dietrich, who composed the music and plays trumpet, the band will include Dustin Laurenzi (saxophone and clarinet), Jason Kutz (piano), Brian Courage (bass), Devin Drobka (drums), Paran Amirinazari (violin), Wes Luke (violin), Kayla Patrick (viola), and James Waldo (cello).  Arts+Literature Laboratory,  111 S.
