THE MICHAEL BB QUINTET. The MBBQ started in 1994 and features two aspects. The first is the performance of MBB’s original music, as recorded on three CD’s “Guided Tour,” “Popular Culture” and “You’re Dippin,” of which bop, post-bop, blues, Latin, and even instrumental gospel are all part of the repertoire. The second aspect is the Great American Songbook, which they have played for many years. Sequoya Public Library, 4340 Tokay Blvd. 2pm. Free event.
