The new quartet, led by saxophonist Mars Williams, features Tyler Damon on the drums, Brian Sandstrom on the electric bass, guitar, & trumpet, and Steve Marquette on the guitar. With a focus on improvisation, these Chicago free-jazz powerhouses explore the sonic spectrum drawing on influences from the early NYC downtown and No Wave scenes, psychedelic rock, textural improv and ambient noise.  Presented by Blue Stem Jazz.  Garver Feed Mill, 3241 Garver Green.  7pm.  Tickets $25.
