Marques Carrol Quintet

Chicago-based trumpeter Carroll leads this band that performs his original compositions regularly at that city’s most prominent jazz clubs, including the Jazz Showcase, Andy’s, and Winter’s.  Carroll also co-leads the Chicago Soul Jazz Collective whose most recent album, Chicago Soul Jazz Collective Meets Dee Alexander On The Way To Be Free, is currently topping JazzWeek’s Top 10 Charts.  Most recently Carroll released his debut album, The Ancestors’ Call.  Café CODA, 1224 Williamson Street, 7:00pm.
