Mange Loa @ Cafe CODA

With a handful of original compositions and some ideas scratched on a napkin, Mange Loa came to life through a group of current and previous collaborators.  The band serves as a non-standard creative outlet for the individuals of the ensemble. Harmonically, the songs deliver a combination of old-school psychedelic funk with modern underground avant jazz. These ideas are rooted in either Latin or Afro-Cuban rhythms with a touch of a modern backbeat.
