MADISON JAZZ JAM. The first April jazz jam will be a fundraiser for the Sun Prairie High School Jazz Band’s trip to New York to compete in the Essentially Ellington Festival. They will spend three days immersed in workshops, jam sessions, rehearsals, and performances at the “House of Swing,” Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center. A combo of students will comprise the house band. Café CODA, 1224 Williamson St. 1pm. Contributions will be gladly accepted.
