MADISON JAZZ FESTIVAL: DAN CAVANAGH QUARTET. The Dan Cavanagh Quartet kicks off the Summer Sunday series at Allen Centennial Garden. Director of the Mead-Witter School of Music at UW-Madison, keyboardist Dan Cavanagh offers an engaging, sophisticated sound and skillful improvisation reiminscent of jazz great Brad Mehldau. Joining Cavanagh will be Russ Johnson (trumpet), Peter Dominguez (bass), and Dave Bayles (drums). Allen Centennial Gardens, 620 Babcock Drive. 5pm. Free event.
