8/23: LIVE STREAM: “JAZZ ON A SUNDAY” WITH GOLPE TIERRA. The third concert in the new “Jazz on a Sunday” livestream series features a performance by Madison’s preeminent Afro-Peruvian Jazz ensemble, Golpe Tierra, as they embark on a musical journey across Latin America, flirting with blues, jazz and shades of soul. Their irresistible acoustic groove bases its sound on the philosophy that, when we come together in music and dance “to beat the earth”, we are truly celebrating the act of community. The ensemble features Richard Hildner Armacanqui (guitar), Juan Tomás Martínez (percussion and vocals), Nick Moran (bass), Tony Barba (tenor saxophone), and Aaron Gochberg (percussion).
