5/14:  KIMMEL / ALI / HARRIS.  Chicago’s clarinetist Jeff Kimmel said, “I like to think of this group more as a way to work on ideas rather than having a sound concept in mind, and that refusal to settle into any particular method keeps things surprising for both the musicians and the listener.”  The trio also includes percussionist Bill Harris and cellist Ishmael Ali.   Audio For the Arts, 7 S.
