12/10: JAVIER RED’S IMAGERY CONVERTER. The Chicago-based quartet Imagery Converter had their album “Ephemeral Certainties” recognized as one of the NPR Jazz Critics Best Of 2019 Debut Albums. The band features Javier Red (piano); Jake Wark (tenor saxophone); Gustavo Cortinas (Drums) and Ben Dillinger (Bass) with music ranging from the earthy and physical to the introspective and reflective all with strong and mysterious rhythmic hooks.
