HORNZZ. This eight piece ensemble began out of a love of jazz: improvisation, creativity, and an awesome groove. The group uses arrangements for unaccompanied horns and includes a rhythm section, playing music of the late 1940’s/1950’s “Cool” and “West Coast” midsize ensembles, as well as more modern arrangements in straight ahead, fusion, funk and Latin styles of jazz. Café CODA, 1224 Williamson St. Two shows 7 & 9pm. Tickets $15.
