GOODD N’ FRIENDS: A JAZZ ADJACENT NIGHTMARE. Maestranza, Goodd n’ Friends and CoMingle are three separate ensembles. Maestranza is an unconventional quintet that experiments with infusing rock, metal, and funk into a traditional jazz combo format. Goodd N’ Friends will showcase music composed by the great Charles Mingus, Jimmy Rowles, and Frank Churchill. CoMingle is an experimental music collective exploring an eclectic sound, with varying arrangements drawing from idioms like: pop, hip hop, prog rock, and neo-soul. The Bur Oak, 2262 Winnebago Ave. 8pm. Tickets $10.
