Executive Tea Set

Executive Tea Set is as much a jazz band as it is a composer’s ensemble. An ETS program consists of original works penned by members of the group, and the odd masterwork by one giant of modern jazz or another. With parallels in instrumentation to the Modern Jazz Quartet, ETS plays jazz with its own musical vocabulary. A unique ensemble with a unique sound.

Vibraphonist Geoff Brady has performed with the Gomers, Yammer, the Theramones, Alison Margaret, the Active Percussion Duo, Yid Vicious, the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Dyna-Music, Scott Fields, Tomato Box, and many others. Geoff studied percussion at the New England Conservatory of Music and the University of Wisconsin Madison. Apart from the vibraphone, Geoff is and avid thereminist and composer.

Pianist Mark Siegenthaler holds a Master’s degree in Improvisation from the University of Michigan. A computer music and analog synth whiz, Mark’s talents are much sought after in the world of contemporary music. Mark also performs with Arp of the Covenant.

Basist Bradley Townsend holds a Master’s degree in improvisation from the University of Michigan, and teaches jazz and classical Bass at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. Bradley has performed with Arp of the Covenant, the Rountree Ensemble, the Madison Symphony Orchestra, and the Dubuque Symphony
Orchestra. His work has also been featured in Jazziz magazine.

Drummer Michael Brenneis studied music with Alan Dawson and at the Berklee College of Music. He collaborates with many musicians including: The New Breed, Sean Michael Dargan, Alison Margaret, The Velvet Smash, The Active Percussion Duo, Tomato Box, Post Consumer Gnarl and many others.
