12/9: CHARLIE PAINTER TRIO. Local favorites, the CPT includes Kelby Kryshak on drums, Sam Olson on upright bass and Charlie Painter on guitar. The trio will feature works by the late great B3 organist Dr. Lonnie Smith, who passed away last month at 79. Their repertoire also includes works by Pat Metheny, John Scofield with some Charlie Parker, Miles, and Coltrane mixed in for good measure. Café CODA, 1224 Williamson St. 7pm. Admission $10.
