4/29 & 30:  ANITA SORENSEN JAZZ WEEK:  DAFNIS PRIETO WITH UW CONTEMPORARY JAZZ ENSEMBLE & UW JAZZ ORCHESTRA.  From Cuba, Dafnis Prieto‘s revolutionary drumming techniques and compositions have had a powerful impact on the Latin and Jazz music scene, nationally and internationally.  Multi-award winning and Grammy nominated, Prieto has created music for dance, film, chamber ensembles, and most notably for his own bands ranging from duets to big bands.  Hamel Music Center, 740 University Ave.  8pm.  Tickets $13 general/Students free-ticket required/livestream $7.
