Andy Narell with Panchromatic Caribbean Jazz

8/17:  ANDY NARELL WITH PANCHROMATIC CARIBBEAN JAZZ.  Andy Narell is equally known as a composer and jazz improviser. He has spent the past several decades exploring the possibilities of Trinidad’s national instrument, the steel pan, in contemporary music. As a farewell concert to conclude his residency with The Sessions at McPike, Andy will perform original compositions and arrangements, featuring Madison’s own Panchromatic Caribbean Jazz (a small group featuring members of Panchromatic Steel).  Presented by Blue Stem Jazz.  The Bur Oak, 2262 Winnebago St. 8pm.  Admission $20.
