MICHAEL HACKETT QUINTET. Jazz ensemble director at UW Whitewater, trumpeter/composer Michael Hackett has assembled a stellar quintet with Pawan Benjamin, saxophone; Johannes Wallmann, piano; Nick Moran, bass and Michael Brenneis, drums. The quintet will present an evening of clear statements of melody, creative improvisation, and consistent swing in a repertoire of original compositions peppered with jazz standards.
